News Update – February 2009

Belinda enjoyed working in Nyngan again in December. She assessed the Kindergarten children starting school to identify those requiring assistance with speech and language.

In addition, Belinda re-evaluated the children who had participated in the 2008 speech and language program. Results were promising and new speech and language groups have been set up for 2009.

Therapists at this practice should be available in the immediate future to assist children with autism under the “Helping Children with Autism” package. Contact ASPECT to arrange an interview.

Hibba Nagrial (Speech-Language Pathologist) made the first presentation in the practice’s weekly professional development program. She provided excellent material on the topic of Fragile X syndrome and interesting discussion followed.
